My Favorite K-Beauty Makeup!
Hello friends! Today I wanted to share with you a look that I love using some of my favourite K-Beauty makeup products.
I fell in love with the world of K-Beauty makeup towards the beginning of this year after one of my fellow YouTube friends urged me to try Korea’s innovative makeup formulas, and all I have to say is that I regret not trying them sooner! When I began my K-Beauty love affair, it was with the Rom&nd Juicy Lasting Tint and Hince’s Mood Enhancer Liquid Glow (sadly, I think this has been discontinued). I was stunned at how comfortable they felt on the lips while transferring minimally to my face mask.
Within the K-Beauty spectrum, the theme of brightening the complexion feels like the polar opposite of our ongoing western trend of bronzing the skin to mimic that post-vacation glow. With my work history of working in the makeup field for over a decade, I tried to love the bronzed goddess look for YEARS. Still, it was such a struggle as this was a look that was a million miles away from what my skin naturally wanted when exposed to sunlight, as I am pretty fair, and I burn rather than tan. Enter K-Beauty’s brightening blushers in these glorious hues of pink, lavender, peach, and rose! These shades have this youthful enhancing effect that makes the skin look vibrant and alive while appearing completely believable!
Through 2022, my blush collection has grown to an array of fresh pinks, fruit-like plums, romantic mauves, and fresh rosy tones; however, my bronzer collection has dwindled, and I’ve never felt more satisfied by my colour complexion collection!
Something else I have fallen in love with is K-Beauty eyeshadows! Now admittedly, my obsessions are all quite similar and kind of boring to look at, but they make my heart sing! My first palette was the Etude Play Color Eyes in Dusty Cat (collab with YouTuber LeoJ Makeup), and it has become my benchmark palette for other K-Beauty shadow formulas as it’s just so good!
Also, in the realm of eyes, K-Beauty has made me fall in love with mascara for the first time! Enter Rom&nd’s Han All Fix Mascara in L02 Long Ashe! This mascara not only creates a “Your Lashes But Better” effect, but the colour is perfection! The shade Long Ashe is a muted grey-ish brown that is darker than a traditional brown, lighter than black-brown, and more relaxed than most brown colours, making this a perfect mascara colour for my Soft Summer (muted cool) colouring.
If you have tried any K-Beauty products, I would love to know your experience and thoughts! Thank you for spending time with me, and I will see you later!
Warm Wishes
Zack
